We take pride in using recycled fabrics as well as vegan leather. We recycle our fabric waste and we manufacture in Europe to ensure proper quality control. This enables us to pay fair wages to all of our suppliers and manufacturers.
We are sustainable
The Hound Project is a sustainable dog clothing and accessories line, offering high quality pet products to earth conscious dog parents. The company was created in 2018 as a response to poor quality, plastic pet products and has since grown into a brand sold by over 70 retailers worldwide.
How we do it
Our best practices
Our fabric sourcing, printing and production happens in Europe. This insures proper quality control and cuts back on air miles.
We work on a no inventory basis to reduce waste and to make sure we don’t end up with pre-produced, unwanted items going into landfill.
We use recycled fabrics in our winter coats, toys and some of our fabric accessories.
Heat transfer printing
We opted for heat transfer printing, which is a lot less polluting than traditional fabric dying, and it does not produce any harmful waste.
In our vegan accessories we use microfibre that is breathable, light, water repellent, easy to clean and has high ageing resistance.
Reusing fabric waste
We recycle most of your fabric waste that gets turned into the recycled material. We then use this recycled fabric as insulation in our coats.
High quality fabrics
We believe that good product design starts at sourcing, so we opt for high quality fabrics to extend our products' lifecycle. We choose our fabrics carefully to support our products’ purpose and extend their wearing appeal for as long as possible.
All of our products are designed and manufactured by the same principle, that pets deserve the same, good quality products as we do. That is why all our pieces are designed and developed thoughtfully, always keeping functionality and durability in mind.
We manufacture in Europe and over the years we built a strong relationships with our suppliers and manufacturers. This insures a fast turnaround on production time and enables us to have strong quality control in place.
